Der 1949 eingeführte Y Chair Barhocker ist eine Adaption des berühmten Wishbone Chair, entworfen vom dänischen Designer Hans Wegner. Der Name bezieht sich auf die Y-förmige Rückenlehne oder den gabelförmigen Knochen im Brustkorb eines Huhns. Inspiriert von chinesischen Möbeln der Ming-Dynastie, ist dieser Stuhl tatsächlich eines von Wegners berühmtesten Modellen.
