Mario Bellini, born in Milan in 1935, is an Italian architect and designer. He graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1959, and from 1963 he worked as a design consultant on office machines as well as furniture.
His work has won eight Compasso d'Oro awards, and New York's Museum of Modern Art gave him a retrospective in 1987. From the 1980s he worked mainly as an architect.
