Fabricius and Kastholm

Preben Juhl Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm were both Danish designers in the 20th century who were inspired by functionalism and the resoluteness of Scandinavian design. Both born in 1931, they met each other at the School of Interior Design where they both studied in the 1950s where Fabrricius trained Kastholm as a metal worker while he was studying cabinet making. Being partners for more than 8 years, the two was able to found a studio where numerous timeless pieces were born. They bagged the very first German prize for “Good Shape” (“Gute Form”) in 1969 for the FK bucket seat because it of its classical and modern design.
