Modern TV Units & Media Consoles

A TV unit does one thing well or poorly: it positions the screen at the correct viewing height and conceals the infrastructure — set-top boxes, streaming devices, cables — that supports it. The correct viewing height for a television is a centre-screen position at approximately the sitter's eye...

48 or 60 cm high: how the two TV units differ

This collection holds two TV units, and they differ mainly in height and weight. Both are walnut veneer on powder-coated steel legs, and both product pages describe drawers and shelves for media equipment.

The Finn Juhl media unit is the lower of the two. It stands 48 cm high, 180 cm wide and 45 cm deep, and weighs 57.5 kg. The 190 cm unit stands 60 cm high and 48 cm deep, and at 93 kg it is much the heavier, so plan how it will reach the room.

Before choosing, measure the wall against each unit's width, and check that the base or feet of your television fit within its 45 or 48 cm depth.

If you want more storage than a low unit gives, look at our sideboards. The five sideboards in our storage range stand 68 to 90 cm high.
